What’s happening? Enough that I’ll be out of touch for a couple of weeks having some real life. Imagine that.
Don’t Give Up Your Day Job: Well, it’s mostly a night job for awhile. I’m back in the windowless room helping the Army simulate another splendid little war this month, though it’s a local exercise, so no globetrotting for me this time.
And There Was Much Rejoicing: The Eldest Son and his charming fiancée celebrate their much-anticipated nuptuals this weekend, so there will be houseguests, and consumption of unhealthy food in healthy portions, and much running about in formal attire. Vows and rings will be exchanged. Bouquets will hurtle through the air. Mascara will flow. People lacking any sense of rhythm will dance with wild abandon. It will be epic. I’ll share a few thoughts afterward, providing I survive.
Ready for Takeoff: Later this month, the Darling Daughter returns to Colorado Springs and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Her knee is mended, her mind is clear, her resolve is firm…she’s tanned, rested, and ready to finish what she started last year. If only I was as ready as she is…
