This month’s banner is the logo of LARail.com’s annual Valentine Day Special, aka, “The Love Train,” an old-fashioned overnight train trip from Los Angeles to San Diego in a vintage Pullman sleeper car. Sounds very romantic, but I think the graphic artist stumbled a bit. I’m seeing more “Murder on the Orient Express” here than “Love Train.” I suppose some people think of love as a diesel locomotive running straight through their heart. Chugga chugga.
Yes, The Love Train runs on subjective time, which is very pleasant when experienced in the company of someone dear to you.
