Panhandlin’

I’m back on the beautiful Gulf Coast, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, for another work trip. Unfortunately, I’ll be spending most of it in a windowless building staring at a computer screen, but the ocean is only a few steps away when I’m off shift.

I’m very happy and thankful to see that the recent oil spill hasn’t damaged the environment on this stretch of the Florida Panhandle–the sand is still sugar-white, the water is clear, the air is fresh, and the seabirds are abundant and petroleum-free. A lot of hard work and dedication from a whole lot of people, plus God’s thoughtful provision of sunlight and oil-munching bacteria kept a bad situation from becoming much worse.
