New month, new photo.
In honor of my eldest son’s impending college graduation in Chi-town, May’s banner is a Chicago El train, crossing the historic Wells Street Bridge. The bridge is cantilevered to permit tall-masted ships and sailboats to pass. I’ve been there when they’ve lifted it. Very impressive. A whole slew of other Wells Street Bridge shots, if you’re into that sort of thing, are posted at http://www.historicbridges.org/truss/wells/photos.htm
This train, like all others featured on this blog, runs on subjective time, unless there’s a sailboat passing under the Wells Street Bridge.
