In honor of London’s 2012 Olympic Games, now in full swing, here’s a shot of the St. Pancras Railway Station, one of the primary access routes to the Olympic Park. It’s midway between the British Library and Kings Cross, and services Eurostar high-speed trains to Paris, Brussels, and Lille, via the Channel Tunnel. The Olympic rings are a temporary addition, but the prominent clock is always there to ensure travelers running on subjective time don’t miss their connections.
It looks even cooler on the outside. St. Pancras Station is a celebrated example of Victorian architecture and often called the “cathedral of the railways.”
